could anyone recommend a good vst compressor?

It's actually a mastering limiter/maximizer, but it's pretty cool. It doesn't sound bad at high gain values like most freeware limiters.

I think the BuzComp Free compressors would also be worth looking into. I haven't tried them myself though. |

Agreed! I use Gcomp for every track. Easy to use, nice interface. I love that realtime, graphic readout of the audio.
