Confused by my own trance..., I need some help with the breakdown !

Sorry guys, things've been a slow on the production front.. tbh didnt think anything i did was really worth showing off...
Last thing i did yesterday i kinda like.. so i was hoping for some opinions, Ive been producing since about April.
Its my idea for the breakdown, now the second melody and synth i absolutely love. The first one sounds like a composition for a movie and some people might think its a bit messy.
Before i connect it to the main build up and intro I wanted to get some general opinions, do you think i should do away with the first riff completely and just rework the buildup to fit the second melody. Obviously the percussive elements I still need to fit, but just figured id go one step at a time and hold of the temptation of programming a massive snare build into it.
TBH Im torn because I dont dislike it but i can see why it might not 'work' with the flow of the tune. this may not seem like much but Im just looking to take the right steps and save myself some time by not working pointlessly on something that wouldnt 'fit' at the end.
