Yes - though it's unfortunate that Bedrock decided to put this:

We were not sure if we wanted to release this on Bedrock, but I also did not want this to be bootlegged. So with demand very high for this mix, we are making it available...

...into their promotional material. s sake, stand behind your releases or don't release it at all - but don't just come out and admit the only reason you released it was money.

why in the earth make a remix which doesn't add a bit to the old ones? I mean please just check out the mighty John Johnson remix or why not the thick POB remix. Or why not Evolution remix. With so many remixes released like 7-8 years ago it's no use to release a remix like this.

i didnt really like this remix by downey, it was alright though

We debated this the other day (me, montana, distant) and couldn't understand why bedrock would release it, as it's pretty much nothing like the sound they've supported for a long time. Even a new label name like bedrock whites or something would've just given them the reason not to say about not being sure about rls it on their label or not.

When you look at the dj support and radio support, the mix would subsequently end up on shortlist for dj compilations. If it were a white label, they could not license it obviously. Now its official djs are able to put it on their compilations. Simple as that really.

Fixed for accuracy.

Also, I'm not saying they're wrong for doing so. It's business. That's what you do.

I do, however, think it's odd they'd choose to come out and say "Hey, we're not so sure this record isn't , but we'll release it because loads of folks will pay to hear it."

I understand, I just threw the name "bedrock whites" out there, could beany other sort of name that shows their involvement without actually putting it on the same label as other tunes, as many labels have done for years.

I think Mr. Mystery's original "oh dear" related as much to the unsightly poster as it did to the track.

WE DECIDED TO RELEASE THE TRACK AND DO PROMOTIONS WITH THE BIGGEST, STUPIDEST POSTER WE COULD THINK OF!!! THE TYPING IN CAPS IS SO THAT EVERYONE CAN SEE HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO GO AND DOWNLOAD THIS TRACK THE WE ONLY ENDORSE IN A HALF-ARSED FASHION ANYWAY!!!
