Paul Van Dyk: November 23rd, 2007 (Metropolis)

Heya everyone .. was sitting on this info for a little while but only recently bothered asking if the information was public yet. Here's a few clips from what I wrote on facebook already that some of you probably already saw:
Paul Van Dyk will make his first visit to Canada (since Bal en Blanc 2004) at Club Metropolis on Friday November23rd, 2007.
The ONLY confirmed details is the date and location. Prices and potential opening DJ(s) won't be decided for a few weeks.
I talked with the person organising this 3 days ago. I'll post more details here as they become availlable. I'm assuming it's a 10pm to 3am event, but I forgot to specifically ask that question. He's got a new album coming out soon, so we should be getting some mixes from it by november. I'm pretty sure it's actually all part of the album tour as I know he's in Toronto the next night as well.
Once the other details are finalised I'll ask my contact to see if there's a posibility to get advanced tickets for people.

Even the event organiser doesn't know the price yet. They'll only be finalising all those minor details in the next week or two.
However .. what I can say for sure is that Paul Van Dyk *IS* signed to play at Metropolis on Friday November 23rd, 2007! :)
If anyone tells you anything more than that over the next week or two then they're almost definitely just basing their information on rumours.

Anyhow .. as for Paul Van Dyk .. I still remember the first time I saw him live at Sona years ago. Everyone was telling me how progressive and hard he played and I simply laughed thinking "no way .. how hard can the guy who produced the Trance classic For An Angelplay?" .. boy was I ever wrong and totally shocked as PvD totally destroyed the crowd .. November 23rd should be amazing! :)

| I just found out im going to see pvd at vanguard in la tonight...lol...im only going because its free and i hear the venue is nice....freak is gonna see a trance act...lol. I'm bringing barf bags....but if he is good i'll be honest. |

wtf do you know...you go to the vieux shack in st jerome and work as an elf at christmas helping the homeless dudes they hire to play santa clause. Ever notice the trance heads live far from montreal...i think its why they stay noob so long...ask nick pilon...true story:p
and if PVD is good i promise ill give him credit...im gonna go in expecting nothing...but like i said good is good...ill post a review. |
