One use they didn't suggest is maybe helping people who have had brain damage work towards rehabilitating their brains. If you break your leg you'll need physical therapy afterwards to regain strength in it and make sure everything heals right. Obviously the brain is a much more complex issue than a human leg but I can still see this having potential use for people with many types of brain ailments.

That suggestion is implied. But I would probably suspect that people with brain damage might have more difficulties operating this than someone normally.
BCI's aren't new, but readily available ones are!
I for one welcome this new technology,
I can imagine myself up there at the decks in years to come using my hands and mind to manipulate music and visual patterns live. Would make for a surreal show.
