I fell in love with the Simpsons because I cared about the characters, not about using characters to poorly illustrate some sort of absurd social commentary.

one of my favorite episodes ever was "22 Short stories about Springfield". a parody of Pulp Fiction, but about Springfield. was classic. |

One thing that annoys me is how they are marketing this film as being all non innovative and in 2D, when all you need to do is look at the previews or the first post video to see they have spent heaps of time making this film look as 3D as possible. |
its supposed to be a joke, its 2d because that is what the normal show was.

| Problem with the Simpsons is that they simply HAVE to rely on current events anymore because they've literally used up all the other material. I mean, Homer's already been kicked out of almost every state in the US in addition to many countries, there just isn't anywhere left for the show to go without relying on current events, which destroys the timelessness of it. South park works because it pretty much SOLELY relys on current events and has done so pretty much since it's conception. If you ask me, seasons 6-9 were the best Simpson years, haven't really been watching the new ones regularly but what ones I have seen haven't impressed me. |
