| just a quick check of themosser.com shows their cheapest rooms to be between 89-99. only problem is it's a shared bathroom (a few bathrooms for each wing) but if you don't mind that it's cheap and nice. |

I have stayed a Niko the last couple of years and will be there again this year-nice hotel and really close to the parade and Bill Graham...189 a night+40 parking+20 taxes..about 245-270 a night with everything, but not too bad to split between 2 people..

| for you out of towners there's a huge nationwide Dental Convention happening over the same weekend at Moscone (same place that hosts Macworld) - so all the dentists and their families are taking a lot of the rooms in the area too |

Also, depending on what afterparty you attend and what time it may end, BART service doesn't run at certain hours of the morning, which would result in you being stranded in the city, unless you either A.) Fork over cash for a taxi or B.) Rent a car.
COR Version: Don't ing stay outside of SF. :)
I'll still be there this year, the Mariott near the start of the parade is still available for rooms. Just an FYI, your most favorite person on TA will also be tagging along. ;) |

couple hotels i recommend:
Best Western at 9th st Motor Inn (free parking) just about 3 blocks from bill graham walking distance
i work right across the street from it, i hope this will help some people... i dunno how much though...

if you don't mind staying in a hostel, sf has a lot of them and i hear they are pretty clean. personally that's something i would do considering (a) i hate overpaying for a pillow and a shower, (b) you meet a lot of other international party people at a hostel, (c) you can't beat $26/night :thepirate

anyone know how long the dirve from the SF airport to the Parade/civic center is???
the hotel rates are 3 times less by the air port(300-400$ vs 100$and free parking), Mapquest says 15 min drive???anyone think it would be stupid staying by the airport then driving back and forth to the parade?? I only hope its not a 50$ cab ride each way??!! |
