I downlaoded the CD1 of that album.....and it totally sucks in my opinion, just like his performance at BEB 2001.

Oh and Mistress is my worst ennemy......so I don't think I'd go at the Aria for Clarke....even if you'd pay me to go!!!!!

Can't wait for Gielen though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
sylphin
as previously mentionned I will no doubt me there..

Gielen, gah.. there's a limit to how cheesy a DJ can be.. I've only heard one thing from in (in trance we trust 4).. and stuff is just waaay to 1998, but 1998 stuff as well, trust me El-See, if you continously listen to cheese like that for an extended period of time, you'll get tired of it.

Holy !!!

Sylphin,

Airscape......cheese????? Yeah right.....they are in my top 3 remixers (Gielen and Svenson)......and you tell me that Gielen plays cheese?

Anyways, I wont insist...we have different tast, that's all! I'm really not into techno (Picotto is probably the only techno dj I like).

Have a good time on May 3rd!!
sylphin
if this aint cheese, then nothing is.
atb - hold you (svenson & gielen remix)

... actually I'm starting to think that the only 'trance' so to speak that I like is stuff like Oakenfold's old albums.. and generally older stuff (oh wait, and pvd, tiesto, and a couple other few select DJs), but I dont think I will ever grow to like ferry corsten and other new-school trance DJs (progressive is a whole other story though.. I loove it)

sylphin je ne suis pas d'accord avec toi

ur talking about something made in 1998 that u didn't like apparently , u should listen to what he did between late 2001 and the beginning of 2002 , all his sets weren't disappointing
sylphin
mmm yeah, I have a hole bunch of oakenfold essential mixes from 1998-2000 I guses I like those too. =).. actually I also like the 'Travelling' album also.. but that doesn't reflect his sets..

mmm, I need to get my hands on more sets from more artists.. because I'm more of a 'album collector'.. .(but I find when I listen to say a live set, then go to the party, I've already heard the set pretty much.. so I'm as surprised)

I bought Dave Clarke's World Service from Heathrow last year and its incredible...hard techno from the first second everyone i play it to is like WTF??...the thing about it is its an acquired taste (like scotch or anal sex :eyes:), same goes to progressive. And I agree there's way too much fromage in the so called new school trance dj's...get with it guys that 'retro' 97-98 stuff is dead as disco its too predictable! now its all about talented prog mixing and cool influences and being innovative. basically anything that doesn't surprise me starts to smell. i love surprises!

but to each his own so don't flame me

see y'all at ARIA on the 3rd, and Biggy, I got 2 words for you:
STAY IN GOLD
