Sander Van Doorn was absolutely awesome! I will be honest with you, trance and hard house are not my thing but this boy was fantastic, non-stop bad ass track after bad ass track. People left that club wanting more and asking who he was.
I will be as bold as to say he blew away PVD's set from friday night. Absolutely edgy and unforgiving. You can complaint to me about my opinion, but he seriously didn't let up the assault. I see now why he's going to be a name that will be in the top ten dj's of the world in the next couple years.
What I liked about his set was the fact he didn't play trendy crap to get a reaction out of the crowd. He played alot of familiar stuff, but it was more of a damn, I remember that and I haven't heard it in a while type of reaction, he never got cheesy. He is best suited for a big festival (hint hint Dave, Giant NYE?)
You didn't make it to this, you missed out and I was bone freaking sober and I never give dj's a review. |

Wish I made it out. I was seriously considering to go, but I missed the discount list deadline. Was Sander as good as his first appearance here last year? Wow this is one of the first weekends in a long time where I didn't go to any shows.
Oh, and Michelle, great shirt... :p

Anyways I got to Vanguard a little after 1:30 and Sander was all ready on. I really enjoyed his set!!! So much energy :) After Daft Punk I needed some beats and I got them :) |
