ok, sorry for the late reply. I only had 80 min cd's so had to split the track into 2 and over 2 cd's.. anyway....

Overall, I thought it was listenable and you can obviously beatmatch but I just find most of the transitions too samey and over very quickly. Sounded like you just slowly moved the crossfader from the left to the right.

I think you need to work on your phrasing as a lot of the mixes seemed to just come in on a random bar and exit on a random bar.

Tunes wise - I like a lot of them however I thought it lost its way around the middle (especially when that house tune with the piano kicked in), however it did pick up towards the end.

Sorry if this sounds negative, its just my opinion and will hopefully give you some pointers on what to work on in the future ;)

But I really do think that you need to practice your phrasing as that would have improved the transitions no end.

Looking forward to your next mix though to see how things have improved.

Its just some constructive feedback - something that I wish I would get more of as it can only make you better :)

phrasing is fine through most of it. maybe a couple of transitions weren't phrased to my standards, cuz i waited to long to mix. but the 1st half hour is definitely the best. i'll admit not my best mix. you should check out "the dark wave" its another mix i made, its 2hrs and way better in terms of technical mixing and has some sick tracks to boot. just check my sig. its up at www.xstreamist.com/vlad

also i dont use the x fader i use the channel faders and the eq's
thanks for listening though.

yeah i started out with trance. and trance is still my roots. but lately i've been getting into the more progressive stuff due to the lack of good trance out there. :(
this isn't my best work but has some damn good tracks! :toothless

you may need to adjust your mixing style to this different type of music... might be the reason why the other poster thought your mixers weren't quite up to par... this sort of stuff is mixed and phrased much differently than trance in my experience...
