I am stupid. Need help recovering usb drive

So I was reformatting my HD and I left my USB HD connected still and I deleted that partition also.
Reinstalled windows, but the USB driver is not detected under 'my computer', but it does show up in Control Panel, System section.
I have a Maxtor 6 L250R0 250g USB HD.
Any suggestions? |

| Hey, use a data recovery program like 'spinrite'. and you should be able to recover everything, copy it to another drive then recreat the partition on the external drive. |
