well, for me it's not about being lazy, I am actually quite impatient. When I want a flick right away, I don't order on netflix. buuuuuuut.... I hate paying late charge. With Hollywood video, I racked up something rediculous - like $120 in late fees from one store and $60 from another. I just can't deal with "5 day" rental period window, I'm too busy/irresponsible/lazy/forgetful/can't be arsed type.
So, I figured I stop renting off-line and go online, where I just don't have to deal with all the nonsense. Besides, some of the people who do use NetFlix, may not have a decent video store that for miles. Don't believe me? Go to Poconos or deep US South. One video store in Georgia we stopped by at did not carry any movies that were over PG-13, were of questionable content, or contained any drug or sex-related themes. We laughed the owner off and all he muttered was "Thank you, God Bless, please come again!". Friggin bible thumpers! LMAO.
What's next? Christian Family Values Video Rental Store? Oh... Wait... That's Blockbuster. ;) |
