Oooooh I know what I will name my next track, Abrasion. This is the way Mr. Mystery makes me feel.

I think I'll name my next one "Useless" then.

Why?

Does Camsr make you feel useless..

It's so cryptic I'll let you figure it out by yourself.

Meanwhile, why not leave all the useless junk out and stay on topic?

This is one of my toughest areas.

I usually end up finishing the track and then it sits for a bit before I can think of an appropriate title. I usually do the "whatever images it conjures up in my head" method, combined with searing through adjectives in my head until I get something that works. The exception is if I go in the studio with a specific theme in mind, but that is rare.

haha, haven't heard that word before. you shouldn't have a problem coming up with titles either.
The Drow
I decide the name according to the feel of the track.
Sometimes I have a theme in mind and then I write the track according to the name.

Omer :)
T-Soma
I usually go with something that has inspired the track in some way. Could be an event, an emotion, a person etc etc.
Sometimes for techy tracks you can look around your studio and think of cool sounding nams from looking at the writing on some equipment haha.
TOR
I usually name my tracks according to the images that flash before my eyes when listening to it. I stay within certain length limits though, as I like a bit of vagueness surrounding the track title. People should be able to form their own interpretation of the track and its story.
Eldritch
The dictionary is my best friend when it comes to titles. Not that I pick random words or anything, but it gives me ideas.

DigiNut
They usually mean something at the time, but damned if I can remember that information today. Other than the obvious plays on words, obviously.
iast
I usually name my tracks after I finish it. I want to name my tracks prior to the actual music making process, but as many of you know, many times songs take a life on their own and write themselves as if there was divine intervention going on.

When I have a clear hook, and I have 25% of it done, the title I give it is what it sounds like to me.
