Really? I thought Mos and Kweli were extremely boring.
madhattared
i'll be there today

kweli and cypress had the best sets of the day, but pretty much everyone was on-point; epmd did a medley of sorts, though i felt extra ancient being one of the few actually singing along to every track...

there was ridiculous ganjafication on the hill where we were camped out most of the day.

good times (hot/sticky but no rain :) )

that was every where dude, i left with some when i normally woulda blazed it all...madness i say

Anyone else think the best moment of the day was during Mystery of Chessboxing and the entire crowd doing ODB's verse?

Though, they totally killed that moment by skipping over Ghostface and MKs verses. MKs verse is the best on that entire album. I was really disappointed by that.

ghostface's verse on 'chessboxin'' is atrocious. those were the days when ghostface's nonsensical blather was more more irritating than charming. dude's come a long way.

mastah killa's verse was hot.

wu seemed a little out sync, but at least the audience wasn't forced to contend with scores of their homies and substandard minions (sonz of man, sixtysecond assassin, et.al) vying for mic time as has been the case with past gigs.

I feel you bro. I might check the Thrillseekers out. But til then:

"....I rip it hardcore, like porno flick B*tches
I roll with groups of ghetto bastids with biscuits
Check it, my method on the microphone's banging
Wu-Tang slang'll leave you headpiece hangin...."
Slylee
i thought cypress hill was going to be my favorite when they were on, but i should have known better. 36 chambers whaaaaaaaaaaaat:crazy:

aside from being completely ing stoned...i mean too stoned for my own good, it was awesome. oh yea and it was too hot at times, but whatev. good times:)

i loved mos def too.

i definitely think a majority of the crowd was there for RATM. way more enthusiastic crowd and that was pretty ed up that method man had to straight up tell nyc that he gets better crowds in germany:wtf:

he's amazing live. i've been such a huge fan of wu-tang since middle schools days so this was a really special concert for me. i wish they would have done a few more tracks from wu-tang forever album, but i suppose the tracks they did from 36 chambers made up for it. i really enjoyed "It's yours", but i wish they would have done "mgm". oh well.
