It has nothing to do with any of that. The parking lot of a soccer game in LA is just not a preffered place to play music for me, is that such a big deal? I'm not looking for "OMG you played at a GALAXY game" exposure. Sure, money is nice, but again, thats not why I DJ. I'd much rather play in my room or a small house party in a context and atmosphere better suited to that type of music. The whole gripe is irrelevant anyway since I seriously doubt bas or myself will ever be in a situation in which that kind of gig would come up.
And I'm pretty sure Oakey is well off enough where money wasn't an issue with this. I'm sure hes a football fan, and I'll bet that had more to do with it than anything. I wouldn't be surprised if he knows Beckham either. |
