We've been a fan of Inside Chicago's clean and easy list for a number of years... After the moderators at our forum decided there was no benefit to offer a quick overview of all events in our area (mnvibe.com) a few friends and I were frustrated and decided to register some domain names.
We wanted something along the lines of tcnightlife.com but all the initial names we wanted were taken so we resorted to two easy ones: twincitieseventslist.com and myeventslist.com
We'll become more creative with domain names down the road and mirror them all back to one central site, with a official name for the Minneapolis/Saint Paul event list to be coined later in the year. For now we just didn't want another mnviber to take those domain names from us and squat on them. Right now I have no time to do any design work on it, so it'll be a basic page until I can spend more time developing it.
We plan on setting it up so promoters will have their own section to login and add events, etc. The primary focus will be a clean and easy to read list for out of towners who don't want to deal with all the bs that most event threads are associated with.
We'll gladly provide a link to your webpage :) As we all know there's a huge number of Minnesotans that travel to Chicago for shows on a weekly basis.

The one confirmed show I have is Lee Burridge @ Foundation on the 5th (Friday) with myself and Moksha (tag partner) opening. It's a SIM/EB collaboration.
I'll be playing @ the Marco V show @ Barfly on the 11th of October (Thursday)..
Every Saturday we have a house/downtempo/ambient night at Temple Restaurant & Bar.
Yeah.. I'm still living the SOTEG/Carbon Community/Kraddy show in my head. Maybe it'll all go down one day. Hopefully Leon can get you up here for one of his breaks nights in the future. |
