| Who's going???? Went last year with an EX--LOVED IT!! Can't imagine not going again. Bought a ticket for this year but don't have anyone to go with! Hoping to find some great people to camp with! |

i used to have girlfriend who went there in 95 and she was a total whore and and she went with a bunch of ******s pretending to be men. those kind of guys that wear bandanas and sport goatees. why would it be any different now? |

With 40,000 people there it's kinda hard to pinhole anyone. I can guarantee you--all walks of life are present which makes it what it is. You will find anything and everything there. That being said, Burning Man is not for everyone!
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo, I guess we've ruled you out as a burner!

everyone i've ever known that has told me they love burning man has fit a particular stereotype.
Let me lay that stereotype out:
1) Nothing going for them.
2) Think incredibly highly of themselves.
3) Have a general feeling that they're better than everyone else.
4) They, "get it" everyone else just hasn't quite figured this whole life thing out yet.
5) Overweight.
6) Don't know all about art.
7) Are primarily interested in seeing hawt bewbs and every other reason they come up with for going is total bull. However, they won't see any hawt bewbs because the only women that show theirs at a venue like Burning Man have rolled genetic snake eyes and supplement their self esteem by absorbing the looks of gawking losers. |

HA! Well, I'll just say this again...how do you know if you haven't been?? Waaaayyyyy too many people there to stereotype. If I had experienced the list you have set out--I probably wouldn't be interested either. But that simply wasn't the case for me!
All, if you don't want to go--then don't! It's that simple. I'm only looking for those who DO!

That's a really horrible argument. To say you can only understand that a situation is good or bad if you experience it doesn't seem to be supported by the ability for humans to predict, their capacity for intuition and their ability to simulate an experience they've never had.
I know I wouldn't want to get hit by a baseball bat though I never have.
I don't want to drink cyanide.
I was never in WWI or Vietnam but I don't want to go.
I don't want to go to Burning Man.
That said - if I went I'd probably have fun. No one I've ever talked to disliked it, I just generally disliked them.
