Im looking for some nice quality drum samples. Maybe some nice quality samples from an 808 or 909 or Drumstation..etc. I would really like some nice kicks. If anyone has any they would like to share please contact me at peter_rausch@sympatico.ca

Don't really think that serious producers sample kicks from songs...
Just think about the waste of time and the quality... Sampling from vinyl gives you noise, not to mension all the effects the kick has been ran thru!
My advise is to get into akai sample cds. There is plenty available with top quality kicks, even for free if you know where to look....;)
I got around 15 different cds with drums and kicks myself which gives me over 2000 kicks to play with. Even presorted.

like both robstar or sunjammer said. You can eiterh sample kicks you like or get the basic kick form, say a 909 kick and effect and process it to create a kick you like. Either is acceptable if it fits in with what tunes you want to create.
I personnally sample and occasionally edit them via soundforge if they are not correct.
Hey sunjammer had much time to try out the jp8000 yet??? |
