Traveling with Vinyl

Im moving to brazil for a few months and I plan on bringing my Vinyls with but i have concerns that theyll be damaged during the flight. Im mainly concerned about warping because of the temperature changes. Is there anything I should do or can do to make sure my vinyls stay in good shape? Is this even going to be a problem?

I dont think it will, as long as they are out of the sunlight and you pack them in the box well so they dont move.

I order my vinyl from overseas (uk) to australia and dont have any probs with warp etc.

Get a decent flight box. Don't forget, in a plane the cargo hold is actually much colder. Keep your most precious in a record bag and take that as hand luggage.

if you have a lot a records make sure that the case is long and takes two people to move and has fragile all over it, if you cant take it on with you. the last time i went over seas with my records i brought two cases, one i had to check coming back and the basturds dented my flight case so bad it up 9 records. take the ones you love with you!!

Pay for an additional plane seat and sit them next to you...

It's not actually that much colder. Animals travel in the cargo hold just fine too.

keep in mind a good record bag or box will offer some sort of insulation from the elements
