Seems iv got myself in a bit of a situation here, Thought id share for a good read. Perhaps anyone could relate..
So anyways, Id been unemployed for a while.. It sucked hard. As it does.. No money, no freedom, blah blah blah.. Then i got a job as a Onsite-Computer technician, 10am-7pm 5 days a week, Sitting on a pay of about 250 (I'm 19 yrs old).
Immediately, He wanted me to start working on getting a license. But i decided i didn't really want to work for this guy, So i quit..
Then i decided if i was to fill my dream as a DJ, i needed this job. So i told him i will come back to work. And he said he wants to put me on a traineeship. Which is even less pay but a certificate. So i agree..
Weeks go by, And the goverment funding system (Centrelink) dont give me any money because they think im working. But my job agency gives me 2 free lessons at a driving school and books me in for a P license.. All free of charge. I go for one lesson (using a manuel) and decide that i will postpone the other lesson.. Because i felt i needed more practice.
But i didnt get more practice between then and now because i didn't have a car to practice with and no money to get mine registered.
Now i have my license test in 2 days, and no experience. So i decide to learn on an auto for now.. But the driving school hasnt anwsered my calls and no one thinks id get enough lessons between now and the test date anyway. (1st of August.)
But my boss wants me to get a license before i start work. Because he lost his.
So i need to either:
1)Magically pass my driving test in 2 days with little>no practice.
2)Rebook the test (Which will be another month) and have no license to drive anyway.
3)Quit and find another job
I have my 2nd CDJ coming this week, I could at least do some gigs at small parties and stuff. But i liked the idea of having a actual job to fall back on so i can afford new gear & music. This boss seems a bit dodgy to me though. |

hmmm .
I went to the license office in Bris (Chermside). I am so glad I got my license in NZ, that place was packed. I reckon getting ur license in oz is a nightmare. |

If you lived here in the states, you'd pass and get your license because......well anyone and everyone get their license. And then you wonder why everyone sucks at driving :wtf: |

haha yeah, It's not that i cant drive. It's just that all the little things like reverse park etc that i havent had someone take the time to teach me.
My idea was to go for an Auto license so i didn't have to worry about clutch riding etc (bad habbit im in). But c'mon.. as if im going to magically learn to drive in 48 hours and get my license. With no lessons between now and then, And no car to practice on, And the stress of not being very useful to my boss if i dont pass.
Yet he wants me to come fill in the paperwork for this traineeship, And im trying to focus on how im going to get my license without having to wait another month before i can try again. |
