if girls are dressing up like that ^^^^ it means they want some badboy in them... not cos thats how barbie dresses... sucks tho with the whole entapment thing.. a guy can easily do time and have his reputation rubbished all because a young girl says she was raped even tho she wasnt.

people like you should be raped.

but you get a much more predictable car. you get what you pay for. ive always hated mustangs and camaros for the same reason. they do one thing. lose traction in the rear wheels. i love handling. power is nice but handling will be what gives you that edge. i guess since your into drag racing though handling isnt as big of a deal in the same fashion.

I've autocrossed 3 of the 4 f-bodies I've had (two fourth-gens and one third-gen), actually. And I've also autocrossed a Corvette, so I know the difference.

You could also say "damn dude a Ferrari is much better than a Trans Am" but why? C5's cost twice as much as Trans Ams. I bought my car for the aesthetics/powertrain at low mileage for the price.

ferrari isnt purchased for the "engineering" side. its purchased for the interior and the name. not that they arent nice cars, but they arent cars i would buy for "performance" offerings relative to cost and engineering. id much rather buy a 2nd gen m3 strip it, build it, and race it. i like ferraris but on the same token im not that flashy. i like stuff thats "normal" on the outside but not normal on the inside. i love sleepers.

You missed the point, I think. :)

And yes, sleepers are awesome.

i didnt miss it but i do agree i didnt really address it. overall cost is significantly lower on a transam/firebird/camaro i agree. really it just depends on your target and what you have/want to invest in it. im normally not one to just buy things cause thats all i can afford at the time. i will save till i can get what i want. hence why i would get the vette. then again i do know people who own junk yards that i could get a stolen recovery from for cheap. :) i have a friend that runs a porsche dismantler too.

oh and heres a sleeper for ya.

2000 GTI with a w8, full custom awd system similar to the subaru and mitsubishi systems but beefed up for 500hp and 500lbft, lsd front and rear, silenced custom exhaust, and full coilover setup. god that thing would own. id have the appropriate chassis mods done to keep it strong and able to handle the power. id more than likely install a roll cage with it since it does have all that power. id have reclining race seats with race harnesses too. :)

oh and this will be my project in a few years. cant wait.

I think this thread got a little sidetracked.
