To be honest, there are a lot of DJ's out there doing this right now (mostly commercial club DJ's playing top-40 in traktor using it for effects), and really - it's more gimmick than anything else.

Neat for sure, but really not much going on with it.

Oh, how many times was Heater played at this event? Would be sweet to rig the WII controller to alternate between original & vonstroke remixes all night!

Crazy Larry, the 1/2 of Glacier that showed up.

i'm gonna try to figure out a way to get a wii controller to... well control a mixer. and then be up in the dj booth with headphones and a wii controller jamming tunes from now on.
RJT
You probably couldn't really do it in a manner that is all that intuitive at all.

All it's designed for is relatively simple gesture recognition, so you can use to trigger clips and effects, but realistically it's not so easy to control characteristics such as depth (i.e. faders/eq's) with them unless you program the buttons themselves to work like volume buttons on a remote, which might not work so well for tight mixes.

Like I said, it's a neat gimmick - and some guys have really been able to work a crowd with them, but in reality it's not the most versatile controller for DJ'ing.

Was it not that busy? I know Pier was not able to make it to the tour. If there was not a good turnout, maybe its because there was not that much draw from this booking.

the Wii thing is cool and if it works for the person it works but as far as llve PA goes im concerned about the content. The glacier live PA's content is good stuff.
