Wrong move, Rob. Two years ago was our first trip to SF for the party, and we booked so late that we ended up getting a hotel in Oakland. Sure, the BART provides rides into and out of the city, but considering all of the walking you're going to do (the parade route, the eight hours of dancing after the parade ends, the Friday night Burridge party, and the various afterparties on that Saturday) it's murder on your feet.
Each year we've gone back to the hotel in the middle of the day to rest up a bit. The first year took four hours out of our day, caused us to be late to the afterparty, ultimately resulting in us not getting in because the lines were ed. Last year was fine, because we booked the Hilton right in the middle of downtown (which is already full for this year).
Also, depending on what afterparty you attend and what time it may end, BART service doesn't run at certain hours of the morning, which would result in you being stranded in the city, unless you either A.) Fork over cash for a taxi or B.) Rent a car.
COR Version: Don't ing stay outside of SF. :)
I'll still be there this year, the Mariott near the start of the parade is still available for rooms. Just an FYI, your most favorite person on TA will also be tagging along. ;) |

you can crash at my place. i'm in sactown . . 2.25 hour drive from downtown SF, but it will save you all your monies :)
but i have a big huge rape van that seats 12 people comfortably that i can shuttle you bitches in.
my sister has an apartment in daily city we can use as a rest stop, too |
