Well there's nothing that can really be done. People are going to post these kinds of things regardless!
Some people just get excited about finding out that their favourite DJ is coming to town and thought that others might like to know as well!
I thought my thread was a good idea, but unfortunately it didn't work out. |

Griping is about people overreacting or constant things that annoy certain people.
As for the Mod Club, it's a cool club, sound is alright, a variety of people go there. Just don't get in the bouncer's way...:nervous:

I agree your thread idea was a good idea and my thought was to have it as a stick to the first page so it could be easily maintained....heck...you could get rid of the Event Forum then if you had something like that.
Its great to get excited about a DJ coming to town....but this will lead to people creating accounts just to post when a DJ is coming to town.....creating a bunch of spam......that was a problem so they created the Event Forum to prevent that....I don't see how 60 days into the future isn't enough time to learn about an event. |

Even though his performance was pretty mediocre last year, I'm willing to give him a fair chance, and I have a good feeling... considering it's at The Mod Club.

it's quite easy to distinguish between someone that posts spam and someone that is just excited about the news and wants to share it with others, especially for the first time. You need to relax and move on. |

Remember that video from Youtube of him performing on Danish television? I just went with that: "Tront-uh-mowler." Then again, any time I say it that way, clerks and punters give me a weird look. You say "Tick-on," I say "Ty-con"... same old story. |
