Just moved here from MTL

....about a month ago or so. Well I'm staying in Meshuggeneh (I mean Mississauga) until I find a place closer to the west-ish part of downtown.
Any other ex-Montrealers here to share their stories?
Think I arrived too late?
Need a roomate with the same musical taste as you do? Finding a decent place around here is crazy hard!

Welcome to the Big Smoke, Taz.
I came from Ville St-Laurent. It'll take less than a year to get used to it. I found rent very high when I came here, though I was alone in my appartments.
Drive in the 'slow' lane on the city's highways, it's faster than the passing lane. Here they think the passing lane is a 'fast' lane, and clog it up. As the normal Montreal common courtesy to get out of passing lane when someone flashes headlights... do not do that here. If you flash your lights, the fcukers will hit the brakes. The driving will likely be your biggest peeve. I can go on an on about this.
Find a place close to work, and if not, find communities of the same age group or tastes. We have all kinds of neighbourhoods in TO, much like Montreal. Where from? |
