I experimented a lot shooting these pictures. No flash, no tripod, very limited lighting...
your comments and criticism will be much appreciated

i like.
personally, i hate flash photography.
sure, it can be good if done properly but things just look so much more natural without the flash.
great job, sasha!

I said this on msn, but I will say it again on here.
You captured the moment in these pictures. Lately, you have been taking a lot of "pose" pictures. Your work is a lot better when people are doing their own thing, not posing for your camera. Pics like the ones in this set show true emotion.

And I like the fact that you didn't use flash.

the fact that sasha uses a very wide open aperture is what i think makes his pics look so nice. thats the way i always like to shoot too. i never shoot above f/8 and 80% of the time i use f/3.5

I only saw one of his half hour performances and he went threw 2 fiddles.

He's a Demon. His energy was indredible, and contagious. The crowd was in absolute awe of him.

Definately glad I checked out the festival.

You have captured a lot of emotions in those pics. Really good work Sasha. I am no expert when it comes to camera settings and don't know how exactly you set it. There is a certain feel in your pics and I think that has nothing to do with the camera but you. How you see world and people around you. Camera is just a tool to capture that view. I have yet to see however I believe even with a camera that does not have as many features I would still be able to tell you took those pics.
