IIRC Morillo did some funky house tunes under other alias

Eric Morillo plays BIG ROOM party tunes. He's the top 40 of house music as far as I'm concerned. plays the hits. and none of those are soulful or sexy.. though a few here and there *might* be funky.
The Highroller
If you want some more soulful and deep stuff, check out Sunnyside Pavillion tomorrow. It's also the best venue I've been to in Toronto for a summer party.

that party was cancelled yesterday

I hear you. I was just in BC for two weeks and all I got was an average Benassi set :p

Heineken boat cruise was great, though. And the Western forum doesn't give you much info on house..TA's there are too busy posting about that overrated Tiesto gig :wtf:

acutally a lot of djs played in Vancouver, just not that frequently. Since westerners are more laid back fun enjoyable crowd compared to toronto.

In fact i have seen markus schultz in feb there, totally rocked it. And honestly i cant stand crowded places + younger crowd therefore i have not gone partying since a couple of months since i moved back to Toronto, vancouver crowd is perfect, not too many people like here in toronto at the Guv/Koolhaus. Also the weather there is also great in the summers. I like the rainy weather, still beats the chilly winters out here.

bump :D

I keep tabs on the Western listings on TA here for friends back home. you should try Montreal.. older sophisticated househeads there than Guv and they don't overpack clubs there (for the most part).
