What about if I get a really low mix? Can I Use something to get the
overall volume up or do I need to adjust every channel?

I recommend always to keep a decent volume value. I you are planning to render your mix in a mp3 is always better to analyze it first, to see if it lack of the recommended power that is should to have.

Levels around -1db are ok, be aware to don't exceed the limit so you could get clipping.

Use any kind of software that offer simple mods to your waveform. In this case 'amplification', a little bit of normalization is ok too.

I think I see what you mean. Most of my channels run around -25 to -30db so that the master hits below -6db. Just any old gain vst will help or adjust your master output. What kind of monitors are you using? This is why monitors are helpful because they're designed for mixing at low levels so you get clarity at low volumes and can pump it the hell up even if your master output is a whisper.

Ok, Thanx. Just what I needed

SPAWN - I have Logitech speakers with a subwoofer, I can promise you I dream of a pair of monitors every night.
