As some of you already know, spending the month of June as a conservation volunteer in Australia was a life-changing experience. Here in Montreal, I am now dedicating myself to an equally important cause.
In the three days from August 31st to September 2nd, I will be embarking on a unique journey that will make a powerful difference in the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS in Quebec and around the world. Over 30 hikers and crew, including myself, will be trekking the entire distance through Parc Mt-Tremblant to raise money for the McGill AIDS Center (one of the many organizations benefiting from this hike.) All told we aim to raise at least $140,000 for these recipient organizations.
My personal goal is to raise $2,000 by August 15th and I am asking you to make a donation to help me reach this goal.
As you make your decision to help, please keep in mind how far I'll be hiking (over 65 km), the commitment I've made, and how important this is to all the people living with HIV/AIDS around the world (42 million and counting). No donation is too small and every dollar counts! (for every donation of 20$ or more, a tax credit will be e-mailed)
You can use this link to make a donation online: HERE
Or if you decide you would rather pay by check or cash, I can make arrangements to pick up a check or whatever is most convenient for you.
Please be aware that every dollar raised will go directly to the recipient organization — all the work being done for the trek is 100% voluntary and/or donated.
I strongly believe in Le Grand Circuit des Laurentides 2007 and I hope that you will be a partner with me in this effort.
Thank you in advance and best regards,
