let's have this conversation again when you're 40 and then you can tell me if you fault any artist/label/business person for trying to make a buck (legally, without hurting people, etc.). |

Nothing wrong with making money but it shouldn't be the only reason to release stuff. |

because?
i mean i just think there will be people out there that release "good" music because they are passionate about their work and have talent, and i think there are people out there that release what sells to make a buck and don't really care about releasing only what they are passionate about. that's the way it's been, and the way it probably always will be.
while i the music enthusiast may appreciate the passionate artist more, i the person who likes money and the stability that would come with it can appreciate the artist who makes a buck releasing more popular stuff... know what i mean? the two interests don't always align... and maybe they don't have to. |

Oh dear me how I love it when people make assumptions about me, my beliefs, and my own experience.
Ah well, I'll just let you go on believing whatever you'd like. I'm sure you'd just be happier living in the dream that I'm a young & naive fellow who knows nothing of how important making a living is.

i think both your points are moot and the real issue is i havent made such an ill advised purchase since stocking up on a crate of steel wool condoms.
i quite possiblt belive this is up there for the worst remix in the history of plagarism. |
