Rooftop party on Sat, Aug 11th w/ Danielle Nicole & Ivano Bellini

Hello Friends and Foes :) It is with great disdain that I announce that the ONLY party One Love is doing this summer is on Saturday, August 11th the very same night as the Tyas Bros @ Sullivan Room. I booked this date months ago before I even knew about Ryan & Sean. So before I tell you about this party, let me say that you should GO TO SEE THEM! They are both great DJs and I would be going to see them myself if I wasn't throwing a party on the same night.
The reason I am even posting this thread is because I know there are a few of you who won't go to Sullivan Room either because you don't like the venue or aren't currently following the genre of music that the DJs will be spinning.
Now, about this party. Most of you know that I stopped doing parties in January. I wasn't bullting. I am no longer doing parties the way I was before. It requires more time and effort (and money) than I am able to give. The party on August 11th is a small, intimate affair that I decided to throw for a few different reasons:
1. I have had an incredibly busy summer at work and in my personal life so I haven't been out socializing & seeing my friends a lot
2. I absolutely LOVE rooftop parties and this place is really cute
3. This party is organized by the resident DJ of the Venue and I am just joining her for this one, therefore eliminating a great deal effort on my part
4. The place is small and intimate. I don't need to pull in huge numbers. It's a spot that I can invite my friends to come & have a drink with me where we won't have to deal with the hassle of superclubs
5. I can be outdoors and enjoying the warm weather while still listening to house music. I hate being inside during the summer months!
There are probably a million more reasons but how it all came about is really quite simple:
I was walking up 8th avenue one night, a few months ago, and I heard BANGIN tech house coming from somewhere. I looked over at my friend and we were like "holy ! where is THAT coming from!?" I mean, it was music that NO ONE plays in their car (unless it was one of us) and you would NEVER heard on the street, unless *maybe* you were walking past DC-10 or Space in Ibiza. At first we thought it was an SUV that was parked up the block, on the corner. So we kept walking but when we got to the corner, we discovered a wonderful surprise: right on the corner of 33rd St and 8th avenue there was this gorgeous little rooftop venue where people were hanging out drinking and dancing and a DJ was playing! I HAD to see who this DJ was since the tracks were just phenomenal. So I crossed the street and headed up to this rooftop.
Now, I have to be honest, I was pretty much shocked when the DJ turned out to be a chick. No offense to girls, but I only know a FEW good female DJs. This girl is now one of those. She blew me away! After just a couple of tracks I called my friend Ivano Bellini and told him he had to see this girl. So he came over and he agreed that she was smokin'. Later on we met the DJ and got to talking and the rest is history!
I know this was long-winded but many of you are my friends and I wanted to share the whole story with you. It's not often that I get blown away by a DJ like this, least of all a GIRL! And, to top it off, she's super hot! ;)
So, I invite you to come and say hello and listen to some good tunes on the rooftop. I guarantee you will be as impressed as I was. And it's FREE before 11pm.

| I walk by that spot all the time, and always thought it could be sweet if they had a dj setup or something. I guess they got permits/liscences to play music outdoors now? Where can we go wrong ivano bellini + danielle nicole right on an outdoor venue off penn station. Wow she is beautiful and i'm def digging her style musically! |
