| as much as i think selig is a fag for his past actions, i would have done the same if i was selig in this situation. i have no respect for Barry Bonds right now. |

| In my opinion, Selig is in a no win situation right now. He cheers for Bonds, people will terrorize his ass for applauding a cheater(roids). If he doesn't applaud him(which is now), everyone will call him an ass for not congratulating him on a very high achievement. |

I was watching something else, then flipped up the channel guide during a commercial. I saw the giants game on there, changed to it, 30 seconds later, he hits the hr.
And Selig's response was ing priceless. It made him look every bit as incompetent & clueless as he is, yet trying as hard as he always does to look serious & decisive. What a useless human being. |

thank God i'm out of the country when this happened
i've been relatively happy being in countries where the media doesn't give a about bonds. (I found out about it checking scores earlier today at a internet kiosk in Tokyo)

Barry is a DOUCHE bag.... but he's the man...
I love how big of a he is to the media, and I guess everyone else, there is always a need for an ASS...
with that being said, I know he's a roid head and his record doesn't mean jack to me, because he's 40 something, and A-Rod or Pujols will hit 800+ HR's anyway, so we only have to wait 5+ years till Bonds record will be CRUSHED....
so if I was Selig, I wouldn't give TWO S, and just be the BIGGER man and congratulate him, because he won't have it for 30 years like Hank did... so who the F cares....? |

| Bud sucks because baseball profited from Sosa and McGuire, he knew then that steroids were bumping the popularity of the game and he was fine with it then. MLB marketed the out of those two and when people like that Dick Pound start pointing fingers at the professional leagues and being vocal about how bad steroid use is Selig acts like baseball has been betrayed by these athletes. Yeah people shouldn't cheat but it's not like people at the top didn't know about steroid us and most importantly its not like they did much to resolve the problem. |

| Bud's failures as a commissioner go far beyond his handling (or lack thereof) of the steroids issue. At this point, I'm almost willing to believe that he didn't know it was going on, just based on how oblivious he seems to be to every other aspect of the world of sports. |
