| You'll find that the most common house kits are from the legacy Roland 808 and 909. If you are looking to produce purely by software, you can usually find those samples postedn online with a quick google search. (Just please, please, please, don't load those samples and think you're done. You're going to have to spend a lot of time EQ-ing them and such so they sound right in your track.) As for tribal sounds, however, you are going to need a different (and perhaps, multiple) drum kit(s). There are a bunch of ethno/world beat kits out there. I particularly like the ones by Native Instruments. |
