This is my first trance mix released here at tranceaddict, but it's not my first Ableton mix. This is my fourth mix, and I feel like I did a good enough job for it to be enjoyable. I would really appreciate other DJs to review the mix. Comments and suggestions are always welcome. Thank you for listening.

Just listening to your mix while I'm writing this and I must say it is/was a nice listen!
I really love the relaxed balearic/summery feel in your mix, but you also got a nice choice of tracks! Older tracks like Halcyon, Red Jewel and Love Theme Dusk that do bring a smile on my face again. :)
But when it comes to build-up a set I'd like to see some more energy here and there. Especially when I heared tunes #3 and #4 after each other and after 'Love Theme Dusk' the mix could use a bit more energy imo.
The part from tune #3 till tune #8 was a very good build-up btw and I really enjoyed it. :) Got nothing to say about the mixing & transitions, for it's an ableton mix. ;)
Hope you get what I want to say with this comment, for I'm a bit tired at the moment... :p
Keep it up! |

Adder - Thanks for the comment.
Andy - I think you found something missing in the set, and that was an effective build up. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, I knew that there was something in the set that could use some reconstruction, and there it is so thank you very much for the comment. I guess my next challenge is too create a build up with just these sort of softer tracks without the aid of floorstompers. |
