| Wondering if I could get some suggestions on my next headphones purchase... I'm looking for a good quality pair of cans with all around good sound quality. Rich bass, highs and mids. Comfort is key too. I'd be using them at home with my computer. One more preference is that they have a long cord and only one side attachment for the cord too. Any suggestions would be great... reading reviews hasn't helped too much. |

| Preferably at or below $150 but I GUESS I can stretch as high as $200 but I'd like to keep it as low as possible... biggest bang for the buck type thing. |

| I've used the Sennheiser HD280 and own an AKG K240s. Both are very nice and comfy. (HD280 might be a bit lighter? Don't remember offhand) |

If you are using them at home, I would suggest:
Shure E2c Sound Isolating Earphones
http://www.shure.com/PersonalAudio/..._pa_E2c_content
I have a pair, and they are absolutely wonderful. Highs are so rich, its worth getting used to inner ear buds.
If you want something bigger, bolder:
Sony MDR-V600
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-V600...l/dp/B00001W0DI
Complete opposite to the Shure's in their approach, but another awesome pair of headphones. Very comfortable thinks to all the padding, and fits nicely around the ears, not on top of.
They block outside noise pretty well, to create a quiet environment, and have sensitive enough speakers for rich sound, highs, mids and lows. |

Check out these from Bose. I was listening to them at a Bose store on Thursday...sound really good, and extremely comfortable. I may get one when I have the money.
Bose Around Ear Headphones
$125...pretty good deal for something with very good, clear sound quality. Crips highs, decent lows (nothing too distorted, some other headphones distort the bass too much). |
