TA Meetup for Tiesto in Concert LA!

Most TA meetups at the actual events never happen...people don't show up in time if it's early, and if it's late then the music's too good to leave the floor.
My idea (actually, I think somebody else suggested it also):
Meet up at Tiesto's CD signing party this Friday night. There's a cool coffee shop called Buzz in the mall, and that would be a good place to meet. We could either meet before or after the signing (say 6:30-7 or 9:30-10 p.m.), anyone up for this?
Exchange cell #'s at Buzz and then we can text each other at the Sports Arena. I usually only give my cell # to TA's who post regularly and who I've met in person, but even doing this, it's still possible to build a pretty good network! :) |

| do you think the signing is going to have a fat line?? i was thinking about driving up, especially if he might spin a little set. i just don't know how early people are going to be getting there, or how die-hard any of his fans are. |

Went to a signing party for Blank & Jones once and there were only like 30 people there. Trance/prog dance music is more underground here than Europe, so I'm guessing the line will not be around the block. Also depends on how well this is publicized (I haven't seen anything except on Virgin's site and the TA forum).
All that said, Tiesto is still #3 DJ in the world, so you just never know. Since everyone meeting him will have to buy his new CD, that should help cut the line down a bit (no purchase was necessary for the Blank & Jones signing). I'm taking along my Magik Seven: Live in Los Angeles CD in hopes that he'll sign it as well (I was at the Mayan when it was recorded live in 2001, and it's still an awesome CD!) |

Last time I went to a signing there was for Sasha. That line was huge, but it went by pretty quick.

Where:
Buzz Coffee (next to Virgin Records in the Laemmle mall at Sunset/Crescent Heights)
Time:
7 p.m. for anyone who wants to go stand in line together
10:00-10:30 p.m. for Tiesto signing preparty afterparty...lol

just got back in town here...if there's already a big line by 7, then let's jump in line and do the meetup at 10 as planned. Otherwise, hope to see you at 7 at BUZZ! :D
Oh yeah, I'll be wearing a blue t-shirt with "NEDERLAND" printed in orange letters, and carrying Tiesto's "Magik 7: Live in Los Angeles" CD...hard to miss! ;) |
