1) Some people actually want to know more about other languages and cultures, which is less stupid than pointlessly be obnoxious to people you won't ever meet;
2) This could also off him a glimpse of how agglutinative languages work, and how long words are what we would consider to be a sentence in these languages;
3) Finally, even if there was no meaning at all behind that word, at least he's trying to know more about things. How can that be stupid? |
