I highly recommend the 'From Here We Go Sublime' album from earlier this year. Awesome music from start to finish.

Yeah it's great, but it's not neo trance

Comp. here's NEO TRANCE and here's THE FIELD

I think the best label for his music is ambient tech-house

Neotrance doesn't necessarily mean "mcprog" does it?
MrJiveBoJingles
Neotrance is nothing like what people call "McProg," really. "McProg" is sparkly and full of "pretty" sounds, while neotrance is stripped down and darker.

Is SVD headed towards neotrance or mcprog?
some of his stuff(grasshopper) sounds like what i think of neotrance, some songs sound like mcprog. what does "riff" sound like?
MrJiveBoJingles
I haven't really heard much stuff by SvD, so I dunno.

From my understanding, nu-trance / neo trance is in other words, minimal trance, basically minimal with trancy pads and lots of spacey fx.

Booka Shade, Oxia , Guy Gerber are some that come to mind.

MrJiveBoJingles

necro'd this thread.

so no one's using these buzzwords anymore. why?

My guess it's taboo to use the P and T word.
