| Neotrance is nothing like what people call "McProg," really. "McProg" is sparkly and full of "pretty" sounds, while neotrance is stripped down and darker. |

some of his stuff(grasshopper) sounds like what i think of neotrance, some songs sound like mcprog. what does "riff" sound like? |

From my understanding, nu-trance / neo trance is in other words, minimal trance, basically minimal with trancy pads and lots of spacey fx.
Booka Shade, Oxia , Guy Gerber are some that come to mind. |
