c'est juste des especes de néons/leds en croisés avec des strobes sur la foule. big deal, mais c'est l'effet qui compte.

This was probably the only time I felt that the lights were as important as the music itself. Each track they played had a specific "theme", like when they were playing Human After All, the lights were interchanging with pictures of people on the pyramid. Or when Technologic was played, each verb was shown in huge letters on a red background behind them.

As I said, if any massive could pull off something half as incredible, it would literally bring the party to a whole new level.

I hope people who are in charge of big events in Montreal take notice.

the worst is that they work hard on some complex concepts but they fail almost all of the time. (I've seen the montage of the stuff and its more costly than the stuff daft punk has... from the videos).

anyways... i think we had this dicussion before.

^^ seeing it on youtube is nothing like being there

you would have gone bonkers over that lightshow malek

at the last bal en blanc, they hanged around 15 plasma screens above the dance floor. effects on the crowd = 0.

what i mean, is that the money isn't wisely spent.

idea is good on paper, but in the action, there's no impact.

ditch expensive Tiesto and get some laaaazzzzzzzzzzzzers. Resolution screens weren't too bad though.

resolution was pretty good actually. but needs more.

Is it just me or was it not the programming of the lights at daft punk that left an impact, more so than the setup itself?

Even tho the show was amazing lets not forget it was only about 90 minutes long with fack all happening prior to that.

You people have to realize that when massives happen we are talking about 12 hour events. So yeah in 90 minutes you obviously will get more for you buck then you would over 12 hours.

Also DAFT PUNK is an act, its not like you can book daft punk for sensation and the whole pyramid set up will be there. I highly doubt Duft Punk without the lightshow would be that interesting to that many people.

Kinda off topic from what I read so far the Tiesto Elements of Life tour is supposed to have some cool visual stuff too.

Snarcher!
they were lights at bal en blanc? all i remember is some wierdo wtih a wizard staff and not being able to hear the music:D

you can't compare daft punk to ty 12 hours raves
and the music in 12 hours raves is compared to daft punk
and 12 hours = stupid
even if tiesto visuals are nice his music is crap
