| Get 0-100. Those are good, after that it went downhill bigtime. |

While I think Ishkur kind of has a point about nostalgia, in many cases, I really can't get into most recent trance, and I've only been listening to trance for just over a year. I agree with pretty much everything said about 'trance these days,' and it makes me sad because I wasn't even into trance until 'these days,' it's like I missed the best part of the genre.
I don't think nostalgia is the issue here. |

| nostalgia is not the sole issue in this case. Trance has been very generic the past several years. I haven't really ever listened to asot - I can't stand it. I play clubs and also raves just about every week. When it comes to trance I play tons of stuff from '92 through '98, hardly anything from 2002 to present. I guess it's more commercial. It used to be...Trance...you got lost in it. Try something like Paul Van Dyk - Today (Trance Ambient Remix) or Cosmic Baby - Spacetrack and the like, or stuff from around '98. Truly inspiring stuff composed by talented musicians. On the bright side there's a giant void right now. Trance is not just the stuff you hear on asot - there's plenty of places to go out there with trance music... |

:(
u got to assume newbies will always ask retard questions.. otherwise we would never learn and progress, and chant asot to the masses :P |

Hey, at least you can admit it's a retarded question. That's progress. Most newbies would just get all huffy-puffy at this point and start whining.
:p |

nice. It's actually 1:40am here in los angeles and I'm heading out to play 2 hours at an afterparty (3am to 5am!). I can assure you there will be plenty of trance-like vibes...but nothing from the past few years except maybe a vibrasphere track. |
