The city of Chernobyl was briefly mentioned in another thread, so i thought i might look up this 1986 incident since i find it rather interesting. Just the whole thought of a complete city abandoned creeps me out.
I bet walking the city this days would be a ing trip. :wtf:
I found this picture blog and a few videos i thought people might find interesing.
i saw on i think seconds from disaster a while back, whole areas are just no-go due to the radiation. It must be so weird for people who used to live there, as it could've been any city etc.

there is a wealth of information about this whole subject and its insane how much influence on nuclear (and thats pronounced NEW CLEE ER not NEW KEW LAR) reactors yet this is the epitome of how they should be ran. an insane amount of inexperience with the crew members on the night shift and to top it off conducting an experimental test your playing with fire. unfortunately this was that time that playing with fire they got burned. this was a very sad sad day in history.
