Paco Buggin 2001 Ibiza’s Dj award winner (P.Buggin, Morales, dj Java) began his carrier during the early 90’s at Heaven Madrid. Soon afterwards, he became a resident Dj at Deep (95-2000). During that period, he held his residence and played at clubs in the UK, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Mexico and Colombia. He shared decks with international dj celebrities such as Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, David Morales, Deep Dish, Roger Sanchez, dj Chus, and amonst others. Paco also appeared as guest Dj at music festivals (Sonar, Satixfaction) and toured Spain with Lucky Strike’s “Dj Expresion” tour. In 2001 Paco Buggin and D’amatoria launched their own record label, Boncho Music and had much success with their Circus night vynil 12” series, releasing material on other labels (Defected (UK), Jamyka (USA), Stereo (Spain)).
At the moment, Paco Buggin is workin for Beat-Freak Recordins (D’formation’s Label) as Head A&R and is also taking care of promotion for Boa-Vista and Real Records (D’flame-The Original House Flame).

DJ ARTHUR GALESTIAN aka. ILLICIT (myspace.com/arthurgalestian | arthurgalestian.com)
Arthur Galestian (aka: DJ Illicit) was born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles. His involvement with music began at a very early age. Coming from a family where music has long been a tradition, his father hired instructors to train him in piano starting at the age of six. He studied mostly classical music, and through this, he gained his first experiences at performing music in front of audiences.
At 19, Arthur's desire to share his large music collection with others drove him to pick up his first set of DJ equipment. Soon, he was being asked to spin at parties around Orange County and LA. It was also during this time that he began exposing himself to the Southern California dance scene. While working on completing his bachelor's degree, Arthur started hosting a weekly 3-hour radio show on Irvine's 88.9 FM entitled "The Division of Hardcore Samples" with hardcore DJ Jon Armado. Together, they showcased live DJ mixes of trance and happy hardcore to fans in Orange County.
Arthur's ongoing wonder about the European trance scene pushed him to embark on a 10-month journey to finish his studies overseas, all while giving him a chance to explore the European continent. Studying at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands, his dream to live in and travel around Europe at last became a reality. His experiences gave him an extensive knowledge of the dance music scene in Holland and other parts of Europe, which left a permanent mark on his views of how a dance scene should be.
"When it comes to categorizing the types of music that I play, often times I find that creating categories only limits my creative boundaries. The simple, all-encompassing answer is 'trance,' but anyone that listens to my sets can hear tunes that are often times tough to categorize. As far as dance music in general, I really enjoy listening to the full spectrum: from dark, progressive house to the mellowest of trance and the harder, fiercer sounds of techno. I am very drawn to music that has the strength to evoke emotion, tells a story or paints a picture, and has the power to create energy. This is all pretty apparent from set to set. It's no wonder why I'm so captivated by it all."
Arthur has performed at venues such as the Hollywood Arena, Spundae at Circus, The Standard, Leiden's Liberation Festivities in Holland, and Empire Ballroom at the 2006 Las Vegas Music Conference. He has also been featured as Guest DJ on Vancouver's CJSF 90.1FM and ETN.FM.
Recent accomplishments include live broadcasts through collaborations with Orange Vibe and Giant in a joint effort to further expose electronic dance music to Orange County. Through this, he has worked alongside artists such as Armin van Buuren, Dubfire (of Deep Dish), Miss Nine, Matthew Dekay, and Paolo Mojo. Today, Arthur continues to DJ at various events and hosts "The Division of Hardcore Samples" every Thursday night from 10PM-12AM (PST) on KUCI 88.9 FM (kuci.org).
Arthur continues to work hard at delivering fresh sounds every week on the radio show, in addition to developing several music projects. His immense musical passions continue to drive him to explore scattered places in a constant search for fresh sounds and adventure. Ultimately, it's the satisfaction of sharing oneself through music, and the response of a cheering crowd that makes all the efforts worthwhile. |
