rip :(
Mastermind behind Manchester's legacy as the place to nurture untapped talent, Factory Records, Hacienda and the music scene in general...
and to think i read about him but truly did NOT KNOW until i watched that movie, "24 Hour Party People". That movie is so important if only to bring things to light
i cant help but hope for New Order to reunite because of this...shruggs perhaps that's just wishful thinking though :( |

Strange that New Order break up (yet again) and Tony Wilson dies. Rob Gretton died during the last time New Order were on a break.
I have to admit I didn't care for 24 hour party people, maybe b/c I was angry at exactly what he had done to Factory. Nevertheless he still had a huge impact on music, and especially dance music.
RIP. |

yeah that was th3 suck. he did make a LOT of controversial decisions etc. i guess overall he remained ideal, even to the detriment of profitability. im not sure how CREDIBLE that movie is so i cant say for sure. |
