Yeah, as weird as the skills massives up here are the massives down in LA that are all ages are 10X worse. Easily!!!
And don't forget, Sasha is playing at a massive here (LoveFest AFterparty). Other than a slight crowd difference, I prefer theones here because the production is a lot better and the sound is 1000000000000X better. |

It can be kind of annoying that is for sure. I hate light shows in my face all the time. I hate irresponsible drug users. I hate the smell of vapor rub that permeates the place... But if you get in the right place on the floor, or cruise out to some of the stands, it can be a nice experience. The sound up close to the stage is usually way to bassy imo, like you can't even hear the high hats at all...
But if you back off a bit, it's not so bad. It would be 1000x's more enjoyable if they put the age limit 21 up, or even 18+ would make it great. Or if you just go in a big group of mature people, it also is nice. I think it just matters on your surroundings (i.e. how many cracked out 14yr olds you are standing next to). It really concerns me sometimes, like... where is the quality parenting that should be going on... |

Sasha playing TAO?...why? :wtf: | haha, when i read the tiesto spinning and giant i was like "oh great:rolleyes: " and now this one, haha, jeez. i think massives are fun, but it kind of stinks when the headliner only plays for like 2 hours or an hour and a half. besides, last year at giant maximus, sasha and digweed played for like 6 hours till 6am, this one usualy ends at like 4-430am and most of the djs get a 1.5 - 2 hr set |

they raised the age limit for nocturnal to 18+ hopefully they can do the same for tao, although i doubt it if its at the sports arena. needs a venue change-BAD! |

I agree there is nothing like hearing a 5 hour building set in a dark club...BUT there is also not many times you get to here Sasha bang it out in a massive arena, and on NYE none the less!!!!!
you guys are crazy not to go.... |

I'm sorry, I just don't wanna deal with clueless candy kids, long lines, the myriad mediocre DJs that I'll probably have to sit through untill Sasha, and finally, the sports arena is a horrible venue. I've seen Sasha play some amazing sets, and no doubt he will bring it, but the cons outweigh the pros.
Woe is me for wanting to have a good time NYE with some friends at a relaxing house party... :o |

its been all down hill since then... |
Monster Massive 2000 was pretty insane!
Complete with the Moonshine over America tour w/ Carl Cox (then the #1 DJ), Christopher Lawerence etc etc.
My favorite massive in LA of all time was Nation in the summer of 2000. The venue was just sick!!! |
