Hi guys,
It's been a LONG time since I've posted another track in here - for whatever reason.
Just so you know we're still alive:
Kindred Spirits - Kite
I'll probably post some more tracks over the next couple of weeks.
Play/share/abuse.. the way you wish. |

I like the atmosphere and the melodies. And the bass is great! I will abuse this, thanks for sharing! ;)

You know, I feel like I've said this to everyone lately, but once again:
The percs seem lacking, they do not carry the tune forward. Try a stronger clap, a ride and maybe some bongos. And some FX in the background. I know this isn't supposed to be a "driving" tune but I still feel it needs something.
The pads create a neat atmosphere, the melody isn't something that'll stick in your head but it doesn't really matter since I think it's more about the atmosphere anyway. There's some dark-ish undertones in this track (or maybe I'm losing it) as well which I like.
Overall, a very enjoyable tune but I'm just missing that notorious extra "something". God only knows what that actually is though :) |

Thanks for listening!
We deliberately kept the percs basic, with the intention of letting the melodies do their job of captivating the listener. I can see why that might unsettle some people, though.
One of the other tracks I was planning to post contains a much larger number of percussive elements, of which plenty are bongo's and conga's. I'm sure you'll like that one more, hehe :D |
