:toothless :toothless :toothless

I also recalled right away when I heard that Orbital track, although I was expecting to hear some of those heavy beats from the original version!! He seemed to change to the next song fairly quickly though, i guess the younger crowd wasn't too into it..

I just saw the SF Playlist and compared it to the LA playlist. Holy , it looks like we had a way better show than SF did. :eyes: :eyes:

i think that was the plan, TiC > no TiC :)

ahahah that video is hilarious... listen to the gimp screaming in it.. oh and lets not forget.. TIC was a concept from 2003-2005 that featured "Trance all around the world" showcasing many different countries as the themes. That was the central and key point that made a differentiation between a regular event and a Tiësto in Concert event.

2007 brought forth the Elements of Life World Tour which was meant to:
a. promote the new CD
b. have a similar environment to the previous big scale events with vocalists, specially made visuals, pyrotechnics, etc.

Although people say that all 2007 gigs were meant to promote the CD, the large-scale events like New York, Hasselt, Arnhem, and of course, Los Angeles were some of the very few stops for the "Elements of Life World Tour" and you can see the schedule on Tiësto.com for the dates of these large scale events. When Insomniac started calling it TIC, I knew it was a big mistake and tryed emailing them about it but didn't get any replies. I think it was called that as a means of getting as many people as possible to get into the gig and they succeeded... Godskitchen in 2005 sold tickets for outrageous prices and the top concourse didn't fill up that year.

For the EOL Concert on Saturday, there were a hell of a lot more people and the ticket prices weren't as bad as 2005. They did a great job working with Giant but the only problem I had was the ing event staff and getting people into the gig in an orderly fashion and on time... the idiots wanted to move the VIP line about 4-5 times as it was quickly filling up. VIP was supposed to get in on the Western entrance where the red carpet was and there was about 100-150 people in line when these clowns tried to move the 100-150 people to a different location just so these 7 people who claimed to be on the guestlist could get in. A sign pointed to the direction of the VIP area but there wasn't really a set place. The end result was the general admission line just about getting smashed with the VIP line thanks to the clowns who made that brilliant move... in 2005, the only good thing that happened was that the VIP went through a gate on the western side and ended up going through a side-tunnel area onto the bottom/main arena of the venue while it appeared that the General Admission people got in through the South or Eastern area. When I got in this Saturday with my VIP ticket, it was pretty disappointing to see about 200-300 general admission people already got inside possibly from the South or Eastern side. Oh and that vodka was pretty damn smooth!!! I had about 13-15 drinks the whole night and had a clean buzz... it wasn't a strong one but I can't believe I had so many drinks and kinda didn't feel the effects or give me any problems!! I'm going to look up that Vodka and try it again to see if it really was that good! Big thanks to whoever decided to let them sponsor the event!!!

Man where i was on the floor, a lot of the people didn't know the songs that he played besides the ones he has in his CDs. I was up in the front and the only one singing Silence. Me and my buddy were the only people around who knew Moonlight Party. Highlights for me were, When the crowd was singing Love comes again, Cloudwalking, Moonlight Party, and C-Sharp. My friends thought i was insane when i was singing to C-sharp lol :D .

Im Glad im not the only one who heard it :p .

I took a lot of videos for my friend over in Iraq and Tiesto is one of his favorite DJs. The Bass owns my camera though :( .

A little info. about Tiesto's involvement with Dance 4 Life:

Where does your money go?

Any money raised through donations goes directly to the Dance4Life Schools Projects in the Global South (currently Dance4Life Brazil, Egypt, Kenya, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, South Africa, Tanzania, Vietnam).

The money raised through Dance4Life Schools Projects goes to HIV and AIDS projects via Dance4Life's National Concept Owners (NCOs: the organisations who conduct Dance4Life in the different countries) or their partners. They will spend it on projects aimed at young people, care, awareness, training and prevention in those areas of the world most affected by HIV and AIDS.

In Tanzania the funds raised go to a youth community anti-stigma programme in Zanzibar; and in the Netherlands all the money raised goes to projects in the Global South via their partners STOP AIDS NOW! In Germany the money raised by the young people went to two projects, Kashtan in the Ukraine, and Tila in Ethiopia (see below).

Below are some examples of projects supported by Dance4Life. How is the money for these projects raised?

Project examples

Tila, Ethiopia
This project supports young women who are living and who are affected by HIV and AIDS - women who are discriminated against, thrown out of home and ostracized because they are infected.

The Way Home, Odessa, Ukraine
This projects supports and helps the growing number of street children in Odessa. Two thirds of them are living with HIV.

Siyabhabha
South Africa is hit hard by the AIDS epidemic. The country has one million AIDS orphans. The day care Tumelong Haven of Siyabhabha in Pretoria is a safe place for these children: a place to play and get food. And a hug.

Ombetja
The Ombetja Yehinga Organisation (OYO) informs young people about HIV and AIDS through dance and theatre. And with success!

Sinikithemba
The Sinikithemba ('We give hope') HIV+ Choir is a group of HIV infected Zulu men and women from South Africa. They work in the McCord Hospital in Durban.

WIDE
Talking about sex in Uganda is taboo. Sex education in school? No way! The consequences? 80% of the HIV infections occur with the youth, and the average age of a woman to have her first child is 19. WIDE has principally been established to better the situation of young women and me, to discuss sex, and make contraception and health care available to them. Making them aware about safe sex and living with HIV and AIDS is the first step towards change.

I don't know anything about HIV needle rumors at the raves, but Tiesto's involvement and message with Dance 4 Life is about as far as anyone can get from spreading this disease further. It also has little to do with being gay: human beings get HIV, not races or sexual orientations. Anyone who thinks they're invincible should probably go get tested...

Keep it around for the day after the next time you decide to put on your blinking earrings. ; wink wink

Haha, u remember :) Yeah I'm never going partying without them.

No need for 5-HTP either, I rather enjoy this feeling.

Probably not making it to NYE for Tiesto, can't wait until the next TiC though!

a lot of my friends went to the concert not being huge fans of EDC .....however they heard it was a some famous international DJ at a big event and wanted to party and check out the girls and see what the hype was about. Today they are all swinging off of Tiesto's nut sack....LOL!!! Best time of there life. If I were to just judge the performance compared to last 3-4 yrs at Miami music conference, TIC 2005 LA at Las Vegas, Mansion in south beach , Mexico, Ibiza and not to mention trance energey or amsterdam concerts..... I'd say the set was typical and mediocore compared to those others. Not to take anything away from PVD, Armin, Ferry and Oakie......But for what we get here in the U.S. ....it really doesn't get much better. I myself ...can't quite explain the magic and stage presence he commands...probably due to the over the top production. For all the tiesto critics and nay sayer...all I have to say is just thank him for keeping EDM alive for us.....love him or hate him....he will continue to draw the biggest crowd, party and new ears to this wonderful and diverse music. I still remember ...6 yrs back when all I knew was radio music rock/hip-hop...and thought trance or any EDC music was just strange techno. My first experience was seeing Sander K.....at Spundae...:eyespop: ....I was hooked after that!

What camera were you using for the video. The sound came through really good, most of the time they are overloaded like Woody's video.
BDGcharlie
I just can't put it into words on how ing kljsdfjklasfjkldjkl crazy it was :) and why do people hate "Love Comes Again" by tiesto. When tiesto spinned that track that night ing the whole crowd was up on their feet rocking/raving.
