| Hello all, I used to play lots of keys and synths for a jamy band and am now wanting to get into playing live EDM as its the genre Im currently enjoying the most. I've got a Sequential Circuits Pro-One that gave me the idea to try and put together some sort of sequencer based set-up for live jamming. I'd like to be able to jam beats solo but I've also got a buddy who plays bass that would be fun to jam with perhaps, are you guys familiar with such outfits? i got the idea from Elastic Mystic, which is Bassnectar and Michael Kang playing together. I was about to go for a yamaha RS7000 or Quasimidi Polymorph when i thought I might be better off buying discrete units, any thoughts? What sequencer would I want to build around? Sampler? Tone bank to get me started? Remember, the emphasis here is going to be on live, not studio, use. Thanks for the help everyone! |

| If your after hardware, the korg electribes have a good reputation. Probably ableton live is your best bet as a sequencer. |
