Uncle Ed doesnt need to do this for attention, the man is an attention magnet regardless of his presence at the clubs or not, the man is an ICON! an INSTITUTION!!!

we are not giving up the music, just the clubbing and partying, there comes a time when it becomes too taxing both physically and mentally. I will remain involved in the scene in other ways, more like behind the scenes. loving the music and partying to it are 2 completely seperate things.

far from it bro, i was just a regular average joe, no different than anyone else. no need for a retirement party, not my style. no fanfare and no glitz bro, just gonna bow out quietly. better this way anyway in case we decide to pull a Michael Jordan on the scene.

They are not two totally different things....When the adults stop supporting the parties the promoters start losing money and the clubs close....
An adult will go to a party,,drop a load of money and get wasted...A kid will get in on a reduced guest list,, buy a bottle of water and post a tracklist at 4am on TA....

F- that guys! :)

All you need is to lay off all chemicals/alcohol for a while; and if you are strong enough to be able to do that; and go out; it'll be fun again and you'll feel much better.

For me every party is more fun when it's not accompanied by the usual thoughts of "omg whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy" at 11 am the next morning!

How very true Steven, however I really dont see "adults" at these events. And yea, I drop $$ on drinks for me as well as others everytime. I was at an event a few weeks ago. A guy asked my age (I told him) and he said "what the are you doing here"

I have been going out sober now for a while, no chemicals and very little alcohol. this is not a depressed crash. at some point its just too much.

+1, you are so right!

Well, Uncle Ed & Mike. You will be missed. I've often felt the same way. Even went as far as toning it down for about a year. I must say that it helped out alot. I'll be honest, I don't think that I will EVER go back to going out every weekend, or at least 3 weekends a month. I enjoy it more now, mainly because i don't do it that much. And the fact that I severly cut down on party favors have made the biggest difference. Yeah I can still rock out like the old days every once in while, case & point being this past weekend. But on the norm, it's 3/4 less than what I once did. And I can still go out completely sober and have a great time as well. Anyway, Like I said in the beginning, MIke & Ed your presence out there will be missed greatly. Hope to see you out occasionaly.

Uncle ED
Bottom line, its just that time...we all will be at that choice someday...Im just there now for me, as well as for Mike

Don't leave!

I enjoy at 28 (right now) that there are some older and most younger at events I go to.

I'll have meltdown if I become the oldest (and single) chick in the club LOL!

j/k
