Hey,
Earlier I posted a question about the use of Reason vs. Logic. WRONG I was. I then decided I could never stop using my FL Studio, I have a tight bond with it and I love it! And I'm saving up for VSTs.
So last week I recieved awful news: I'm gonna be forced to use a Mac soon. FL Studio doesn't work on a Mac...and I'm pissed so bad. I'm going to be a graphic design major so I'm forced to use a Mac.
PLEASE HELP ME OUT! I don't want to switch software...and I don't want my VST money to go to waste!
Please help me!

| You can have a Window working in your Mac, so you can use Fruity in Window that is running in your Mac. How cool is that! :D |

If you want something that works non-emulated etc. think about Cubase Studio 4 (Academic copy if you can). This is what I swapped to, from FL, recently. Cost me $300AUD, where the full version of Cubase is $1,200. Things you miss out on:
External synth/effects unit manager thingo (you can still use hardware, you just have to set a midi out and audio in)
New channel EQ - The SX3 one was fine for my needs lol
Surround sound - Cubase uses this for sidechaining, without it you have to use plugins like sidekick to do sidechained compression
Everything else you don't get is pretty negligable for me. |

I always wanted to mess around with fruity loops but it wont work on a mac.
So I use reason and logic.
And that windows program is not the equivalent of having a p.c..
It will work for simple applications not complex audio ones :)
I learned that the hard way...
Cheers. |
