What ever happened to that sign that used to be at all the Guv parties??? I haven't seen that huge sign since PVD @ Warehouse back in Feb 2001..

Has it gone into retirement or something? Or has the idea just died??
TranceGeek
last time they brought it out was for sasha and diggers... i guess they got pretty much everyone to sign it so they're not bringin it anymore...

Could someone explain the origins of the "TUNE!" sign to me. Does it have some significance?:conf: I've always wondered.

thanx.

.. when I first got started into trance, a few british-based labels' compilations (in particular MoS) had included these mini "TUNE!" signs in their double or triple CD packages.

I really didn't know what they were for, but when I talked to some of my friends in the UK, apparently everytime *THE* killer track was dropped at a club, people start flashing the TUNE! sign. They'd carry a fold-up piece of paper with the TUNE! logo written on it.

Of course, this happened at every type of club imaginable.. doesn't matter what type of set... if it was the killer tune, people would immediately know.. it might be dead in the UK now, hehe.. but just like in all areas of electronic dance music.. we're always a year or two behind.

This is what I *think* it is!

Cheers

YAH, Corsen_Addict is right and go to clearify those who don't know. I had one which I got from a ministry mag 3 yrs ago. Like u said u bring it in and when the trance "tunes" are playing all the ppl hold it up. I was told by my friends in the UK that it was started @ Sundisenial Events. ( excuse the spelling) I saw that sign a couple times. U guys really did ur homework. but how did u get that poles in the club?????? It was esspecially nice to see the look on dj's faces when u were tooting the horns and the dj's would look uo and love it. Pvd loved it and tong. They were laughing in amazement. GOOD JOB TA'S.
